Dr Ahmed Al Mutawa Appointed Chairman of Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB)


Following its Annual General Meeting held on 18th March 2014, Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) today announced the appointment of Dr. Ahmed Al Mutawa as Chairman of the Bank. Mr. Abdul Rahman Jamsheer has been appointed as Vice Chairman of  the new Board of Directors which has been elected for the next three years.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa, a UAE national, brings over 34 years of financial and economic experience to the Bank, having served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and as a Board Member at some of the region’s largest and most reputable organizations, namely Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Company (ADBIC), and Dubai University College, among others.
On the occasion of his appointment, members of KHCB’s Board of Directors welcomed Dr Al Mutawa, himself a former Board Member of  the Bank, and wished him success in bringing his own innovative style of leadership to KHCB and continuing the tradition of excellence.
The Board of Directors also expressed their appreciation of the efforts and contribution made by the former Chairman, Dr Fuad Al Omar, who assumed the chairmanship of the Bank in 2004, and led KHCB to more than 10 years of success, achievement and increased investor confidence in the Bank’s products and services.
