Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, 06 November, 2016: Khaleeji Commercial Bank, one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced its Gold sponsorship for the World Islamic Banking Conference, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from the 5th to the 7th of December 2016 under the patronages of the Central Bank of Bahrain.

In its twenty third edition, the conference will witness the wide participation of senior management representatives of Islamic financial institutions, accounting firms, legal offices, universities, higher education institutions as well as media institutions from across the globe. This conference aims to find ways to develop the Islamic banking industry and push it forward, in order to become a prominent option for those seeking leading banking services. The bank's sponsorship of this conference stems from its core belief in the importance of continued search for innovative solutions that contribute to the improvement of the level of services provided in the field of Islamic banking.

Commenting on this, Mr. Khalil Ismail Al Meer, Chief Executive Officer of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, said: "Our sponsorship of this important event stems from our commitment to the development of Islamic banking and finding solutions to the challenges it faces, especially in light of the deterioration of oil prices, reflecting on the economies of the countries in the region, especially those that completely depend on oil production as the engine of their economies."
